1yr MBA.....the reality!!!

I actually found this one very difficult to write because I was apprehensive about the way people would take it. I pondered over it for the last few weeks…….and what did that result in………this second post of-course!!!!

As to what I thought, what I wanted to put forth……well I thought of writing about what I have experienced so far in this one year MBA program. Well I can’t write a year’s worth of material considering the fact that I have only gone through nine months of the program. But…..damn what a roller coaster ride!!!!! You get to feel nauseous, dizzy and spell bounded at the same time!!!

How do I feel nauseous? Well that is taken care of by the course. No time to breath between the courses……they come at you one after the other. I remember Ramki’s words here……for the uninitiated he is the guy who taught us marketing, told us that Kotler is somewhere near God……and then told us to throw the book out for the exam…….well he asked us one question we couldn’t counter…….who the $#&% chose the one-year course???!!!!! People find it hard to continue after hearing that……..and whatever answer that does come after that can be considered as gas!!!

How do I feel dizzy? Well I give thanks to what all I have had to learn till now……..I will be very greatful to the almighty if I can remember atleast one percent of this in a year’s time…….anyway that’s not gonna happen so I might as well start asking for that Ferrari……or maybe the next Google……or maybe Microsoft…..or maybe…….!!!!

How do I feel spell bound? This one definitely goes to the college management. I think I need not elaborate on this!!!! :) C’mon man I have to get my certificate right!!!!!

And what have I been trying to tell you all indirectly in these last few lines……..well that is simple…….if you value your life and your sleep never ever do a one year MBA program......its bad for your health!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Nikhil dude I can totally relate to this. I can't wait for the day I get my certificate (and I am really hoping I don't get screwed over on this) to vent my heart out on my blog.
Lord knows what to say other than.... HOLY CRAP!!!

You have to know that firms that are serious about MBA only hire from aacsb.edu accredited schools and the other programs are just like an MS for jobs where the masters is a legal requirement but quality is not. You will not learn anything you can use from a degree mill and no one will hire you. Even when they have AACSB, they give different pay for different school quality.
